For Veterinarians

Collaborative Care for Optimal Pain Management

Dr Clem welcomes referrals and works closely with primary care and specialist veterinarians to provide integrated, evidence-based pain management for shared patients. Her aim is to complement existing medical and surgical treatment plans through targeted veterinary acupuncture, supporting patient comfort, mobility and overall quality of life.

Team-Based Approach

Effective pain management is best achieved through collaboration. Dr Clem values open communication and actively liaise with referring veterinarians to ensure treatment plans are aligned, clinically appropriate and responsive to each patient’s progress.

Referrals

Referrals are accepted for acute, chronic, and complex pain cases where acupuncture may offer additional benefit. Patients remain under the care of their primary veterinarian, and Dr Clem is happy to provide feedback and treatment updates as requested.

Medical Records

To ensure safe and informed care, a complete medical file is required at the time of booking. This includes relevant history, diagnostic test results, imaging reports, and confirmed diagnoses. Access to comprehensive clinical information allows for accurate assessment, appropriate case selection, and effective treatment planning.

Communication & Reporting

Clear, timely communication is a priority. Dr Clem is available to discuss cases prior to referral and can provide written summaries of findings and treatment responses when desired.

Dr Clem looks forward to working collaboratively to deliver the best possible outcomes for shared patients.
